SOCCER BACKGROUND

I began playing recreational soccer in kindergarten through Buckeye Local Schools and quickly developed a deep passion for the game. I progressed into travel soccer with Buckeye and played for several competitive club teams from fifth grade through high school, including Excalibur SC, Pennine United SC, Concordia SC, and Whitecaps FC. During that time, I competed in leagues like the MRL and GLC and played in numerous Ohio State Cup matches, gaining valuable experience against top regional talent.

At Buckeye High School, I was a three-year varsity player, finishing with 27 goals and 8 assists, I ranked 7th in scoring across the county. Despite missing my sophomore season due to an ACL injury, I returned to be a varsity starter and letter winner during both my junior and senior years.

I verbally committed to Lake Erie College (NCAA Division II) during my junior year and officially signed in November of my senior year. Over four years at Lake Erie, I appeared in 51 games, including 9 starts, scoring one goal, taking 13 shots, and logging over 1,290 minutes on the field. Competing at the collegiate level deepened my understanding of the game and fueled my desire to give back through coaching.

In the summer during the college break, I began privately training young soccer players in the Medina County area, which eventually led me to launch Think.Train.Play Soccer in 2025. I also serve as the Head Coach for the Buckeye Travel U14 Girls team and Co-Head Coach for the U13 Girls team, where I focus on developing team culture and long-term growth. SOCCER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

WHY DO YOU ENJOY COACHING SOCCER?

I enjoy giving my knowledge and passion to the next generation of soccer players. Giving an athlete a positive environment and eliminating performance anxiety so when they step on to the pitch everything melts away and they can just play the beautiful game of soccer. I love to see my athletes succeed, however I think Ted Lasso said it best “ For me success is not about the wins and losses. Its about helping these young fellas be the best version of themselves on and off the field. And it ain’t always easy… but neither is growing up without someone believing in them.”
